Razmoket's birthday : the Smurfs theme

Here it is : my little baby will be 6 years old in a few hours... already 6 years !!!! To celebrate, we're going to invite the familly next week and his friends the following week. After searching for the theme he wanted, and thanks to 2 supermarkets near the house which offers Smurf's stickers, he voted for the Smurf theme.

We bought the tablecloth, the disposable plates and glasses and the balloons in a discounter near school : blue and white of course !!! We'll put some balloons on the front door to guide his friends who are not used to come at home.

I surfed the web to find coloring pages to make with his friends and ideas of house decoring. I don't want to make garlands by plying papers like this one. So I'm left with the flags garland et the disk based one.

I printed Smurfs images to put on the garland. Unfortunately, they can not be cut in flags because of their size. So I must choose a version with rounded elements. We're going to alternate blue and white disks and Smurfs images on our garland.

I will prepare the necessary disks in blue and white and Razmoket could then play to install them on the rope used for the garland by alternating images and disks.

I'll post photos of the house and the table decorated.

For the cake now, Razmoket wants a Smurf cake... understand a yogurt cake with apples and colored in blue. Nothing complicated nor wonderful as what I saw on the net like this little house or this one or this wonderful landscape (scroll down the page to see it) : I totally hallucinated even if caracters are plastic. I even offered Razmoket this Azyme disk but he said that the important part was that the cake would be blue. We're going to make a test cake this week-end to try the navy blue dye found at Zodio. We tested once this dye but I want to be sure because this time we'll use our hen's eggs. Maybe the yellow of the eggs will make the blue dye to turn green like the Vahiné dye. I'll be able to test the white frosting known as royal (200g icing sugar, the white of an egg, a few drops of lemon juice, to be beaten with an electric mixer), well my frosting will be blue. In response to reactions of the men of the house, I know if I'm also to put it on the cakes for the parties.

Still a lot of work in perspective to finalize the two birthday parties but it's so much pleasure to see one's son happy...
